Mr. Gharib is currently managing a historical coffee plantation that he has maintained since his ancestors over 300 years ago, and he is still meticulously managing it by planting new seedlings. His plantation is located on a mountainside with a steep slope, so the elevation ranges from 1700 to 2240 meters. The coffee is planted in terraced fields on the slope, and no shade trees are used. He does not use shade trees because the high altitude and very low temperatures allow the coffee to grow healthily without shade trees.
Coffee is the main crop in the village of Wadi Sail, where Mr. Gharib lives. Some farmers also grow wheat, which is the staple food of the farmers, and they make bread from wheat and eat it every day. In the local language, "wadi" means valley and "sail" means water source. The land is also relatively rich in water. Mr. Gharib is the leader of this community, and his passion for coffee quality has earned him the respect of the surrounding farmers.
