1st crack coffee challenge 2023 Finalist Set

We are pleased to announce that our roaster, Mr. Kodama, participated in the qualifying round of the "1st crack coffee challenge," a competition hosted by Giesen Japan, and was selected as one of the top 6 finalists out of over 80 entries. This is the second year in a row that he has made it to the finals!

Since this is a special opportunity, we would like to let everyone enjoy the heated competition among the roasters in this preliminary round, so we have received permission from Giesen Japan to sell a limited quantity of the assignment beans that were actually submitted for the competition.

We will be offering three different profiles of the actual roasted beans. We will be offering the three different profiles that were actually roasted, and everyone will be able to compare them and guess which one was submitted.

We will disclose the detailed profile differences later, but each batch will be evaluated for cupping, reviewed, revised for the next batch, and finally the third batch is submitted. Since it was submitted for the actual competition, the roasting date will be around 6/14-15, but since it was stored in an airtight container, you can enjoy it fresh as-is as drip coffee. We will explain in detail how we adjusted the roasted coffee later.
